Working a Game

Working at a game table is not as complicated as you might think!

When we are hosting tournaments in our home pool – we expect one or more volunteers from every family participating in the event to be available to work at the game table and could use help from others as well.  Each time we will have a sign-up sheets with the jobs needed. The slots can be filled by parents, siblings or the players themselves.  We especially urge the older kids to volunteer to run the clock or sheet during the games when they are not playing.

We prefer if those running the clock or sheet do not volunteer during their own child’s or sibling’s game – it’s better to work the games right before or right after, it’s very hard to concentrate on your job when your own family member is playing.

Please take a look at the document describing the duties of the clock keeper and scorekeeper/secretary and a sample game sheet (blank).  Please familiarize yourself with both, sit with someone during couple of games – and in no time you’ll be an expert.  Also, there will always be people around to help out if there are questions.

We thank you in advance for generously donating your time and energy to the Tigers Aquatics Water Polo Club
